From Sea to Shining Sea

Americans have a choice, and we are going to choose to take our own futures in our hands.

At America’s Future, we’ve published thousands of words in our newsletters over the last few years detailing the corruption of our ruling class, from the political and corporate establishment to the media and the cultural elites, so we’re hardly naive about the ugly character of our self-anointed betters. And yet, sometimes, we’re still shocked to see their contempt for the people with whom they ostensibly share a country. Recently, they’ve provided plenty of evidence that they are not only cut off from the rest of America but also reality itself. That’s why we call them the “Bubble Elite,” ruling class celebrities whose powers of observation are limited to a scope extending no further than their own manicured fingernails.

Let’s start with the press. In an interview with Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance, journalist Martha Raddatz downplayed the fact that Venezuelan prison gangs had taken over residential buildings in a Denver, CO suburb. “The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment complexes,” she said. “Martha, do you hear yourself?” Vance shot back, astonished by her lack of self-awareness. “Only ‘a handful of apartment complexes’ in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs.”

In other words, from the privileged perspective of the broadcast journalist, it wasn’t really that big of a deal that felons ushered across the border by the government had pushed residents out onto the street because they hadn’t taken over that many buildings. Maybe Raddatz had a number in mind —maybe if it was a hundred buildings it would be a problem, or maybe more, like a thousand. Would it be bad if illegal aliens whose housing, food, education, etc. are all supported by U.S. taxpayers took over 100,000 apartment buildings? Who knows? The fact is, none of it matters to the Bubble Elite, because they have no awareness of how ordinary Americans like us live.

It’s the same at the very top of the ruling establishment, where this week former President Bill Clinton told voters that America needs millions more illegal aliens because our birth rates are low. Of course, the government could address that issue by making it easier for American families to raise children. Instead, the political elite has depressed working wages — by importing millions of illegal aliens! The Bubble Elite can’t think straight because they don’t even hear what they’re saying — it’s all cliches and talking points.

Another former president took it upon himself to lecture young African American men for not supporting his hand-picked candidate ardently enough. Barack Obama addressed them as “the brothers.” “And you are thinking about sitting out?” he said. “Part of it makes me think — and I’m speaking to men directly — part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that.”

Not only does Obama think he’s a mind reader, but his remarks are demeaning. Everyone sees the reality that Obama and the rest of the Bubble Elite are blind to — our ruling class has done nothing to serve the Americans who hired them to improve their lives.

There’s a wave of optimism sweeping the land — from sea to shining sea. Americans have a choice, and we are going to choose to take our own futures in our hands. We’re voting for the inalienable rights enshrined in our Declaration of Independence — the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness! The Bubble Elite’s bubble is about to pop.
